Generosity is overwhelming!

On October 4th, 2009, we will be walking with pride, honour, hope and love with the spirit of Joy Leach in our hearts. She lost her 13 year battle with Cancer on the evening of October 2, 2006.

As our team comes together, we find out that we are also walking for the sisters, sister-in-laws, mothers, grandmothers, and dear friends who have either lost their battle with Cancer or who have been fighting it for years! We walk for these brave warriors. This day is not only a day of hope to find a cure, yet a day of reflection, a day of rememberance and day to remind us to live life to the fullest, a day to come together to show how much we love and support them, a day to show how much we miss them.

With a very late start to this year's campaign for the CIBC Run for the Cure, we are nevertheless off to a really surprisingly good start! Thank you everyone that have sent their donations thus far. Our team's goal this year is $2,000.00.

I will be updating this meter as donations from friends and family come in and of course friends and family from team Walkin' with Joy.
This year our team consists of:
Eddie, Tyler, Brianna, Anna, Kayla, Tania, Kirsten, Cheryl, Christina, Carole and myself (Team Captain).

If you would like to join our team to walk the 5 Km or sponsor us, just send me an email - we would love to hear from ya! or Donate to one of our team members on-line: or send us a cheque payable to The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run . (Please email us for our full address. )

ONLINE: Last name - Woodruff
Run Location is Ottawa-Gatineau

Susan and Jack will repeat their generous donation again this year, by matching $ for $, but this year... up to $2,000.00. We got a raise!!!! tee hee... One word : Speechless! Thank you so much Susan and Jack.

Also: Cheryl's Company SOMOS will be matching her donations!!!!! Who HOO!!! Thank you SOMOS!
Thank you for helping to create a future without breast cancer. With your support we can really make a difference.

Penny,
I'm gonna do some serious begging and pleading at the office on Friday. Be prepared to raise that thermometer.
