Getting in some practice .... it paid off.

It's been a rough ole month, and finalizing my interview on Thursday and a 3hr exam Friday.... it was sooooo nice to get away and do one of my passions this weekend.... and having it be a successful day was the cherry on the top!

I had been asked to show Linda Howie's sheltie, BPIS Shelamo's Riding The Sky - "Whistler" for the Saturday shows in Kingston.

With only 45 minutes to groom this boy, under respected judge Melvin Beech, I was able to show handle "Whistler" to a Winner's dog, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex for a 5 pt win to finish his Championship.  His is now BPIS CH Shelamo's Riding The Sky.

Congrat's Linda and Maureen, and thank you for entrusting this boy with me.  I enjoyed the experience... and I hope to carry this on when I bring my very own to their first shows next weekend.

After the show, we took some pics of him.  I was very pleased on how they turned out.  Here are a few of my fav's.

More on the story and images on Maureen's Blog....

thanks again Penny for stepping in. You did an awesome job. Next time, even if in a last minute panic on entries, I'll remember to think twice as to who to list as the agent for the catalogue. And the pics! IYAYA- do they look great.

Am late checking into your blog but Whistler and I owe you a huge thanks for showing him that weekend! It was a thrill all the way for me being new to conformation. Whistler wishes they gave out big dog cookies like they do in agility trials : )) the photos are stunning. Of course I'm a wee bit biased.
