Portia's Pups look content...

I have spent most of the day cleaning, and arranging big puppy pens and making adjustments to little puppy pens; taking care of Portia (who still not quite there - hopefully in the next week I say -- buy much better than 5 days ago!).  I also had some strength to go out and "play" with Rosé, Rayna and Duncan who have been "neglected" for a few days now...  What a beautiful day to play too.  Nice warm sun.

The big pups after some socialization and introduction to a couple of toys... my fingers for chewing.... and some new floor surfaces to try to walk on, took a nap and bathed in the sun through our patio doors in their new digs.

This is a 4x8 area split into 2 "rooms".. sleeping / quick bathroom access and the other for eating their mush and playing.  The split opening has a towel wrapped around the bottom frame so that no feet get caught or whatever else could go wrong... because it will, cause it's me.

The vari-kennel, which they use, is preparing them for the future..It's a really good place! A soft comfy pillow to sleep on too, if they so choose. So far, these smart cookies do their business away from their sleeping quarters.

I could not resist getting the camera however after dinner, when I saw the new pups sleeping - paired off, after their mom fed them, with large smiles on their faces.  They truly look content.

***big sigh of relief ***   Early bed time for me.

The following pictures were taken pretty much with very little light... it's a closet eh?  I hope to take some good ones tomorrow in the natural light.. now that the chores are 1/2 done.

The pic is on a bad angle, but she has a really nice "square" head.

A bit blurry... but what a pretty head again- this is the pup that looks like he is sporting a cape..you know like superman.  I'm just calling him Lex Luther for now - he doesn't look like a Clark or Kent..

Do they look great or what?  The boy on top looks so much like his mom and an early version of his Aunt Juno.  Truly a beautiful head piece... can hardly wait to see him grow.

The other boy... He is pretty for sure...I have a feeling that this may be the big one in the litter... time will tell, but he is a piglette - Just look at his full belly.  I love pigs.

Been there with puppies stuck with their mouths on the x-pen ... screaming till they get loose. Ask your hubby to cut some 6" high lengths of peg board & tie them down around the bottom, that certainly helps.

Get some SLEEP! the pups sure are :) zzzzzzz

Sorry to hear that things have not gone very smoothly with this litter. I'm glad that your girl is feeling better, and the pups don't appear to be lacking! ;)
