Better late than never - New Puppies by Rio and Breeze AGAIN!

Born February 17, 2014 - 2 Girls and a boy.

A small grooming job, ears glued, and a completely different look of these babies comes to life.

The are growing up real quick!!! - Eating Mush, running around, biting one another in play..... growling, singing, barking.... and wanting out of the den!

Male 2 - Show side Brown collar - Most outgoing, wagging his tail all the time and wanting to be with human hands. He has a beautiful singing voice.

Tuesday night after work, I has with heavy heart to find that Breeze had given birth to 5 pups on her own ~ 2 of which did not make it. This was her first litter, and from the site, I would say she had a bit of trouble with possibly the very first one. 

Thank you my son, Tyler, for helping me bring some of the Kaos down by  warming up the pups while I cleaned up the mess, disinfecting, and putting in new bedding.

We have 2 healthy boys and one healthy small girl.  The pics below are them at 2 days of age.

This is a co-breeding with Shelamo.  They pups have been whelped and will be raised by Ruffleith.

Yo Yo is now 7 months old.  She was to go out to her first shows 2 weeks ago, however there was quite a scare of Parvo around the toronto show areas, so I kept her home.  We hope to have her out soon.

This pretty girl is sired by my Rio boy - MBPIG CH Ruffleith's Barolo di Rionda, whom we hope to get out to the American Shows, and her dam is the very pretty MBPIG Ch Shelamo Riding The Wind

Maureen and Michael have allowed me to co-own this pretty girl as she reminds me so much of Chinook!

Fun Times in the Snow

We welcomed back Miss Rumor a month ago.  She was co-bred with Tina King.  A Rio and Emma  daughter . 

This little firecracker has just realized where she is, and has come out of her shell , and is the dog I once had as a pup - just full of herself, yet quite loving and wanting to please so much.

She enjoys time with her sister... and if you follow the link after the images, you will see the fun she has.   Roxy likes to be leader and is quite dominate. Always picking on someone...poor Juno .

New Litter born at Selection Shelties

I'm happy to announce the 5th litter sired by our Rio, has been born and are doing well.  3 boys and one girl.  Congrats Monia and co-breeder Bonnie.

We hope to find out in 21 days on another potential litter due.

A Confirmed pregnancy for Rio and Chinook!

Maureen has palpated, and can feel at least 3 pups at 21 days of gestation!  (she's really good at this!)

this litter is: MBPIG CH Ruffleith's Barolo Di Rionda (Pure for Sable) x Bonnyville Nitelatches Timeless (Tri-factored Sable).  I was able to snap these pics when I was down for the CSSA nationals... Irene had me over for a lovely dinner.  Thanks! and I agree.... I like this litter too!

Our girls Roxy and Dezi could not make Tina and I more proud.
In Ancaster, Ontario at the 2012 CSSA Nationals (for shelties only) - Dezi placed 1st in Jr. Puppy Class and Roxy 1st in Canadian Bred under American Judge Mr. R. Thompson.

In the Breeder's sweeps... Dezi 2nd place and Roxy 3rd place in Jr. Puppy under Judge Gillian Robertson

Not bad for a 7 hour drive and 3 day stay!

To follow footsteps

Our Girl Roxy has followed her father, Rio and mother, Emma and grandmother, Portia's footsteps by getting a Best Puppy in Group in her first showing in the conformation Ring.  Although placing 2 Reserve Winner's bitch - no points towards her Canadian Championship - Tina and I were so proud of her and her calmness and movement in the ring.  Smoooooth as butta!    Sunday under Judge Dr. R. Smith, he awarded her a RWB and Best Puppy in Group.  She now carries a prefix  BPIG TLC Ruffleith Disarronno on Ice

 As for Miss Dezi...couldn't be more proud of how she carried herself.  The crowd just loved her, and gigled as she pranced around the ring.  She did so well... and looked beautiful.

Mr Vinnie... we feel he needs to mature just a tad bit more before he heads to the ring... but he is certanly is coming along.  These 2 (Dezi and Vinnie) sure remind me of their daddy, especially this boy... just love him.

As J J would say " DYNOMITE" - these pups are looking pretty good.

Last weekend with Tina, we were able to get some relatively nice pics of the hopefuls from the co-bred litter of Rio and Emma.

Uncooperative in most instances,,,, but it's all part of the practice that goes along with show dogs right?  we need more time to practice standing and baiting - in due time of course.

I have to say something here.  Rio is like my "heartdog".  He truly melts me in everyway.  His silliness, his affection, his playfulness and just his beauty - to me - is beyond words.

And here is the identical looking sweetheart, - "Vinnie" - who has the same temperament as his sire, and obviously the identical look.  How lucky are we.  Tina and I love this litte brat! It's going to take a great Show/Breeding Home for us to "let him go" at this point.
