Ringside Snap Shots of Group winning
These pictures come courtesy of Terri Duff from ringside. Thank you for capturing this glorious day!
The wind was pretty strong on Sunday and someone was firing pistols all day... as the crowds dwindled, the sound of guns were alot stronger and people's voices along the gates at ringside were louder... children screaming... everything that a sheltie really doesn't like. Did Remi like that? NO! not at all. But I helped him look relaxed and tried to keep his composure.

Don't run or pull on the lead - let's do this right bud .... take it easy... settle settle... that's it... your doing good bud! Good boy
Kay.... back down to the judge.... settle..... settle..... good boy! Squeak squeak - give the judge your ears.... Good Boy!
OKay Rem...... one last tour around the ring.... good boy.... look at you!!! Good boy.
The worst is done and over with.... He did sooooo well today.
Maybe not.... Group Line up.... 13 from the Herding Group - baby crying behind me.
With a 2nd placing in group - the fan's go wild!! .....My job is done. I did it. I have accomplished much more than I had expected, but I worked hard today taking all that I have learned over the past few years - all in seconds and applied it to a difficult and strange situation and turned it to a positive for my boy Remi. I have succeeded. Today. Red Ribbon - Come to Mamma!!! tee hee.

Arnprior Pictures are in
The Arnprior show weekend was a very exciting weekend for me to have finished my first Home Bred Champion Boy.

For Remi to receive WD all 3 days was a high in itself - I can't explain. This was my boy, from my first and only litter thus far, I was handling him, I groomed him and I was up against some of the very best professional handlers and experienced Breeders. To say that I was pleased... is an understatement.
I have never shown Remi in a show ring before. We have gone to many handling classes together... but that is nothing compared to the sights and sounds of an indoor arena full of dogs and people and "pressure/Stress & anxiety" which Remi, is accostumed to, but this time, it was me at the end of the lead .... gulp!

This picture is of Remi with Judge Barbara Dupree. Brianna handled him in the ring when it came time for Best in Breed.
On Saturday to add to the "peacock feeling", Portia received WB and then was up against Remi for BOW - she took that title that day. My daughter Brianna helped me out tremendlously, as she normally does when she comes to the shows. I love her dearly.
And to boot. My mom was there tagging along and helping out. She loves coming out to the shows.

Show Pictures have not come in yet!
I've been waiting almost 2 weeks for the Winning Show Pictures of Portia and Rosé to come in. I spoke with the photographer's assistant and she stated that they had put them in the mail on MONDAY april 20th !! Hopefully I shall receive them tomorrow.
In the mean time, little did I know that Maureen spent some time ringside on Portia's special day and snapped some pics of her in the Best Puppy in Show Ring. Thank you Maureen for the pics and for your kind words and support on this spectacular day!
