Reflections of Yesterday Once More

As I waited for 1,00's of files to download (dial up) from a site that I am working on, I had some time to go through my own files and transfer them from the computer's hard drive to a stand alone.

During this "purge", I come across a few baby pics of Ty and Bria, ... and some newer ones at the age of 15 and 17 - and one of myself that was taken last year  So to express how I felt at that particular moment, I decided to drop what I was doing (cause filing is really boring) and create some art to reflect what I felt, my thoughts and feelings... Kind of an emotional purge - sorta speak... yes I am weird like that.

After some reflections of "yesterday" I became quite emotional seeing how they have grown so fast, right before my eyes.... it's like they just got here - I was 26 years old.

Now, they are almost finished highschool.... in a blink they will be gone starting their own life.

Lookin' back on how it was In years gone by
And the good times that I had
Makes today seem rather sad
So much has changed..........

..........All my best memories
Come back clearly to me
Some can even make me cry
Just like before... It's yesterday once more
...Carpenters

Yup... I can't see the monitor anymore.

There is a Ninja amoungst us!

Tyler is part of an anime club at school and they are doing a "film".  He is going to play a "Ninja" type character on the theme of "Bullying"

This is his costume.

It has a small fan that runs off of 4 AA batteries and "blows him up"

This is the back of his costume.

He has also decided that he will go out on Halloween and do some trick or treating with some of his other Dungeons and Dragon (D&D) Friends.

Keeping with the theme of Ninja....  The kids have just taken their blue belt test this past Satruday.  We will know their results sometime next week.  Visit their TaeKwon Do blog to see some pretty good pictures of breaking boards with high flying kicks and the scariest one.... via their hand.  Click Here

Self Serve Pumpkins in Panmure

20 minutes down the road from us, there is a Self Serve "Pumpkin Patch" that we have faithfully been going to since 2005. The farmer - Mr. Colton is one of the nicest men I have ever met... and he loves his dog! For some reason,, this is the first time we have not run into him. We will have to go back for a few bailes of hay... so maybe then we see him to chat.

Last year, we introduced our Pumpkin place to Christina, my niece. She looked forward to getting her pumpkin today.

This year we introduce Brianna's friend, Kayla and of course one of our fur kids Miss Ray - "Rayna". What a spoiled girl she is - Rayna that is ... not Kayla.. let's make that clear.

Rayna is a sheltie that loves to hang with people. With almost nil training... this girl follows / heels with EVERYONE!

Rayna is the only "furkid" at our home that did not shed her whole coat! She looks pretty good.

Rayna hearing the cows across the street.....

Smelling the air more.... what the heck is that smell?

ooooOh! the Camera... Strike the pose!

We picked out our 4 pumpkins, dropped off the money in the "Safety" box, grabbed a recipe handout, that Mrs. Colton did up and off we went. I will tell ya next week how these recipes taste. I plan on using some for the thanksgiving dinner.

They sound delish!
